1. Avoid hot water. Dehydrates the skin and contributes to loss of lubrication. It is crucial to dry very well after bathing.
2. Don't use formulas with abrasive ingredients. For cleaning, opt for mild products.
3. Hydrate the skin to the maximum, especially after showering and before going to bed.
4. Choose enriched formulas. Opt for soft products or with emollients and moisturizers, with components such as ceramides or hyaluronic acid.
5. Be careful when exfoliating. If your skin is dry or sensitive, better avoid it. Once a week, it will be enough to remove dead cells and penetrate moisturizing products.
6. Don't stop using sunscreen.
7. Protect your lips. Besides the cold, the worst enemy of the lips in winter is to be wetting them all the time to feel less tight. Complement it with balms or lipsticks that, in addition to adding color, have moisturizing components.
8. Pay close attention to your hands. Avoid soaps and disinfectant wipes. The key is to choose some hand soap with moisturizing components. Before going to sleep, it is recommended that you apply good hand cream and cover with cotton gloves –especially if you have already suffered dryness– throughout the night. In a few days, you will see a noticeable improvement.
9. Do treatments at home. It is the ideal time for home treatments. Masks are ideal.
10. Choose the right textures. To avoid irritations, it is always better to opt for products with mild fragrances (or without them). Ointments and balms are ideal for the driest areas, such as lips, elbows, and knees.
